My Short Lego Story

My Short Lego Story

My earliest remembrance of disappointment has to be my experience with my Lego building blocks.

Not sure if this experience was peculiar to my geo-location, or just a marketing strategy. Anyways, I noticed the building blocks packaged in my lego box were never sufficient to replicate the images on the lego box (the images usually range from things like the transformers, a dream house, a giant vehicle, and other pictures of what could be replicated using the lego blocks).

In most cases, I found that the key blocks needed to replicate those images were missing. For the houses, it could be the roof and the transformers maybe the chest. I was bothered that my packs did not contain those key building blocks and after several repurchases, I kept asking myself this question “Why is my package never complete?”.

It was at that moment I realised that everything we want might not always be delivered to us as a complete-cohesive package.

Sometimes you have to go find that clay and mold the roof of that house or the chest to transformers in the case of my legos to achieve your goals. Just make do of what you have right now. Well, this is the tricky bit.

In the quest to remold or explore other options, don’t get distracted from your vision. We might not get all we want as a complete package, but it is up to us to make the best of what is currently available and put the pieces together to achieve our audacious goals.
